On September 20, 2019, Mr & Mrs POON Kei Chak and Mr Abraham POON visited campus to meet the awardees of "Mr & Mrs Poon Kuen Seng Memorial Scholarships". The get-together was joined by President Prof. Wei SHYY & Mrs Yuchen SHYY; Prof Shing-Chi CHEUNG, Associate Head (Research and Knowledge Transfer), Department of Computer Science and Engineering; Dr Qiong LUO, Associate Professor and UG Coordinator, Department of Computer Science and Engineering; Dr Tony LAM, Associate Dean of Students and Head of Scholarships and Financial Aid Office and Ms Daisy CHAN, Director of Development and Alumni Office.

"Mr & Mrs Poon Kuen Seng Memorial Scholarships" was established by Mr POON Kei Chak in 2017 in honor of his late parents. Each year outstanding students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) are selected to receive the scholarship.

Four students attended the get-together. They expressed their gratitude to Mr Poon for his generous support and shared the invaluable experiences and insight that they gained over the past year. Mr & Mrs Poon and Abraham congratulated the students for their academic achievement and encouraged them to diversify their learning opportunities and keep striving for excellence in their future endeavors.
